GOSHEN BOARD OF ASSESSORS
Regular Meeting- September 16, 2009
The September 16, 2009 Regular Meeting of the Goshen Board of Assessors was called to order at 4:05 p.m.
PRESENT:
Board Members – Jim Upton & Alan Booth
Assessor – Lucy Hussman
ABSENT:
Al Cibelli
READING OF MINUTES:
The minutes of the June 17, 2009 meeting were reviewed and approved.
REQUEST TO BE HEARD:
None.
ASSESSORS REPORT:
The office is finalizing the Personal Property List and preparing the Declarations that will be mailed by the end of September.
The Assessor is about to begin field inspections of all open building permits. There is still plenty of building activity for decks, additions, remodels etc. but not as many New Single Family Dwellings.
Lisa Barber, Assessor’s Clerk, will be going out on maternity leave any day now and plans to be out for 6 weeks. Andrea Meharg, the Assessor’s Clerk back in 2005, has agreed to temporarily fill in for Lisa. Andrea will be assisting with field inspections as well as office work.
The two lawsuits from the 2007 Revaluation, were both settled this summer just prior to going to trial.
BUDGET UPDATE:
The Budget Report dated 9/16/09 was reviewed and is on schedule.
The Final Budget Report from FY 08/09 was reviewed and it was noted that the final % of budget spent was 78.3%.
