Old Business: Trail Maintenance Update – Several Commission members met on Saturday May 9 to walk and clear the North Goshen Water Company Trail.  It was reported that several large trees were down which required the use of a chain saw to clear the trail. It was noted that some areas of the trail are wash out some areas of the trail and some work was done to try to slow the extent of washouts.

Discussed was the walking of the Goshen Land Trust Trail off of Pie Hill. Barry Donaldson would check with Chris Craig to see if the trail had been cleared by the Land Trust.  It the trail has not been walked this spring, John Ross and Barry Donaldson would schedule a time to walk the trail.  John Ross would also look into the area on the Goshen Town Owned property on East Street South that has been designated as a memorial site for Richard  Kobylenski. If not being cared for by anyone, the Commission members work to clear the area.

Identification and listing of potential continuous corridors of land for conservation and preservation – Map review and discussion continued on the ways and means of identifying and listing of potential lands and working cooperatively with the Goshen Land Trust.

Discussed briefly was the need if any for mulching around the trees around the Town Hall and park area.  It was felt at this time that no mulching was required because it appears that better care is being taken by the lawn maintenance crew
