MINUTES REGULAR MEETING
APRIL 7, 2010
CALL TO ORDER: Chairman John Ross called the meeting to order at 7:35 P.M.
ATTENDANCE: John Ross, Joan Lang, Audra Allen, Anders Nygren, Barry Donaldson and Barnett Laschever. Absent Chris Marino.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The minutes of the March 3, 2010 Meeting were presented for approval. A MOTION WAS MADE BY Barry Donaldson seconded by Anders Nygren to approve the minutes of said meeting. There was no discussion on the minutes, they were APPROVED AS PRESENTED.
OLD BUSINESS: Trail Maintenance – The date of Saturday, May 1, 2010 was set for the walking and clearing of the North Goshen Water Co. Trail. Board Members would meet at the North Gate at 9:30 for trail cleanup.
Article for Town Topic – Received was the notice of submission of articles for the Town Topics. The date for submission is April 9th. Audra Allen who would be drafting the article but due to school activities would not have time to get an article done by the submission date. It was agreed to prepare an article for the summer addition of the Topics. Audra Allen would draft the article and e-mail it to the Commission members for their comments prior to submission.
Perennial Bed Maintenance – John Ross reported that he has yet to make contact with Christina Seidel relative to her offer to work on the maintenance of the perennial bed. Anders Nygren had received instructions from Donna Grenier and John Acerbi relative to the application of fertilizer for the Plants and boxwood in the Town Hall Perennial Beds. A bag of Plant-tone costs $23.99 and Anders Nygren would purchase the fertilizer. John Ross would try to set up a meeting with Christina Seidel relative to the bed maintenance and if Christina felt that she needed further instruction relative to the maintenance of the boxwood Donna Grenier could be contacted for further instructions.
Goshen Scenic Brochure: Any work on the Brochure is on hold at this time. Anders Nygren would be taking more pictures of Goshen’s scenic areas for the brochure.

It was agreed to further pursue the idea of putting the Town Scenic brochure on the Town Website.
It was noted that the Town is moving forward on the digitizing of the Town Parcel Maps. It was also noted that at a Town Meeting the Town acquired the Peat Swamp and Bushy Swamp Area located on the north side of Route 4 in Goshen.

There was no other business proper to come before said meeting. A MOTION TO ADJOURN WAS MADE BY Barnett Laschever seconded by Barry Donaldson. The meeting adjourned at 8:10 P.M.
