REGULAR Meeting MINUTES for February 7, 2008 @ 7:15 P.M.
Town Hall Conference Room, 42 North Street
1. CALL TO ORDER: Thomas Stansfield (Chairman), Martin Bothroyd (Vice Chairman), Allen Kinsella, Lorraine Lucas, Ray Turri, Martin Connor AICP (Inland Wetlands Officer)
Excused: Anthony Savarese, Antonio Damiani
2. PUBLIC HEARING
3. READING OF THE MINUTES: The Special Meeting minutes for January 10, 2008 were mailed out to the Commission for review
IN A MOTION made by Mr. Bothroyd seconded by Mr. Kinsella it was voted to approve the Special Meeting Minutes for January 10, 2008. Mr. Stansfield, Mr. Bothroyd, Mr. Kinsella, and Ms. Lucas are in favor. Mr. Turri abstains. Vote Carries
4. OLD BUSINESS
a. Vincent and Rachael D’Andrea, 19 Park Road, Install new septic system within regulated area. The applicant requests a continuance on this application. Tabled until March 6, 2008
5. NEW BUSINESS
a. Malcolm & Marion Schwartz, 68 East Hyerdale Drive, grading and construction of garage and landscaping within regulated area. Bill Matheson form Kent Greenhouse was present on behalf of the applicant. All work proposed will be done in the regulated area. They will complete the online report for CT. Dept. of Public Health identifying the Watershed before the next meeting. There is a proposed rock garden between the garage and house and also a proposed Green Roof.
IN A MOTION made by Mr. Turri seconded by Mr. Bothroyd it was voted to accept the application for Malcolm & Marion Schwartz, 68 East Hyerdale Drive, grading and construction of garage and landscaping within regulated area. Mr. Stansfield, Mr. Bothroyd, Mr. Kinsella, Mr. Turri are in favor. Ms. Lucas abstains. Vote Carries
6 . INLAND WETLAND’S OFFICER REPORT: The Commission received and reviewed the Inland Wetland Officer’s Report.
IN A MOTION made by Mr. Turri seconded by Mr. Bothroyd it was voted to accept the Inland Wetland Officer’s Report. Vote Unanimous
7 . CORRESPONDENCE: Habitat --- Mr. Turri will not be present at next months meeting
8. ADJOURNMENT
IN A MOTION made by Mr. Bothroyd seconded by Mr. Turri it was voted to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 P.M.
