Inland Wetlands Commission
Regular Meeting MINUTES for June 5, 2008 @ 7:15P.M.
Goshen Town Hall, First Selectman’s Office, 42 North Street


CALL TO ORDER:  Martin Bothroyd, Ray Turri, Anthony Savarese, Antonio Damiani,  Martin Connor, AICP
Excused Thomas Stansfield (Chairman),  Lorraine Lucas, Alan Kinsella

PUBLIC HEARING:  None
READING OF THE MINUTES The minutes for May 1, 2008 were mailed to the Commission prior to the meeting for review.
IN A MOTION made by Mr. Turri seconded by Mr. Savarese it was voted to approve the Regular Meeting Minutes for May 1, 2008. Vote unanimous

OLDBUSINESS:
NEW BUSINESS:
William Colby, Colby Engineering and Consulting for Frank & Arline McCarthy, 156 Sandy Beach Road, demolish existing dwelling, reconstruct new dwelling, construct septic system and add new well. Mr. Colby was not present but he submitted a letter to the Commission stating that the existing cottage is falling apart and he is purposing to take it down and build a new one.  The purpose the cottage will be 14ft away from the wetlands.   The purposed footprint will no be any bigger than the existing footprint.  Torrington Area Health Approval has been submitted.  The Commission does not feel this is significant activity.
IN A MOTION made by Mr. Turri seconded by Mr. Savarese it was voted to accept the application for William Colby, Colby Engineering and Consulting for Frank & Arline McCarthy, 156 Sandy Beach Road, demolish existing dwelling, reconstruct new dwelling, construct septic system and add new well.  Vote Unanimous

      INLAND WETLAND’S OFFICER REPORT: The Commission received and reviewed the Inland Wetland’s Officer Report.
IN A MOTION made by Mr. Bothroyd seconded by Mr. Damiani it was voted to accept the Inland Wetland’s Officer Report.

 CORRESPONDENCE: Letter from Shipman and Goodman, Notice from Berkshire Engineering and Surveying re: Field House Development in Litchfield.
ADJOURNMENT:
IN A MOTION made by Mr. Savarese it was voted to adjourn the meeting at 7:30
