Minutes of Board of Directors Meeting
July 21, 2009
CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 2:33 P.M. by vice president Diana Bernard.
PRESENT: Pat Reilly, Jeff Johnson, Diana Bernard, Lynn Steinmayer, Henrietta Horvay, and Cathy Nygren.
EXCUSED: Barney Laschever
SECRETARY’S MINUTES: Motion to accept minutes of June 16, 2009 by Jeff Johnson seconded by Cathy Nygren. Motion passed by all present.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Do we need more programs? Discussion followed. At present time we do not need more programs but open to any great ideas to add a program.
DIRECTOR'S REPORT: Lynn Steinmayer reviewed her report (attached). Discussion followed on statistic report. Lynn was asked to show the statistics for July as: 2009 checkout/renewals and 2008 checkout/renewals in the director report. There will be a footnote stating that the statistics have been mortified to use checkout/renewals.
TREASURER REPORT: Jeff Johnson submitted his report for the month.(attached). Jeff discussed the various accounts.
OLD BUSINESS: Cathy Nygren will continue to inform Lynn about newcomers and the mailing will be sent by the library. Henrietta has four young men from Goshen who are in the military. She will check with their families for their mailing address and report back at next month meeting. Concert had about 50 to 60 attends. It was held inside due to rain.
NEW BUSINESS: Jeff Johnson spoke about the book sale at the Goshen Fair and that sign up sheets will be needed in the library. Sign up is for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
Goshen Good Neighbors will be having the display on photos for their calendar at the library on Friday, August 7, 2009 from 4 to 6 P.M.
ADJOURNMENT: Meeting adjourned at 3:20 P.M. Motion made by Cathy Nygren and seconded by Jeff Johnson.. Motion passed by all present.
