The Department of Public Works is primarily responsible for the maintenance of the Town roads. They are involved in the construction and maintenance of streets, roads, bridges, culverts, roadside development and related activities. This Department plows and sands the roads in winter and uses the summer months to make repairs, improve drainage and repave or upgrade improved roads according to the ten year plan. Goshen has 53.13 miles of paved roads and 14.95 miles of unimproved roads.
