Meeting MINUTES for July 19, 2007 @ 7:30 pm

1.CALL TO ORDER: Present: Gail Lavoie (Chairman), Jeff Johnson, Bernie Harrington, Daniel Kobylenski Excused: Amanda Cannon (Vice Chariman) Absent: Albert Day, Donald Moore
2.PUBLIC HEARING
Public Hearing open at 7:35 pm
a. Christopher Wright for Johanna Kimball, 61 Sharon Turnpike, 14 foot front yard variance from Rte 4 and 10 foot front yard variance from sunset drive from section 323.4 of the regulations to increase size of deck to be handicap accessible. Mr. Wright and the applicant were present to discuss plans with the Commission. The green cards were submitted as proof of notification to adjacent property owners. The deck will extend the length of the building and be 6 ½ feet wide including the stairs, which will allow the deck to become handicap accessible. The ramp is already located toward the back of the deck. The existing deck needs to be replaced because it is rotting and has become a liability. There are no further questions from the Commission members or from the
audience.

3.READING OF THE MINUTES: The minutes were mailed out the Commission prior to the meeting for review
IN A MOTION made by Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Kobylenski it was voted to accept the minutes for June 21, 2007. Vote carried unanimously
4.NEW BUSINESS: None
5.OLD BUSINESS:
a. Christopher Wright for Johanna Kimball, 61 Sharon Turnpike, 14 foot front yard variance from Rte 4 and 10 foot front yard variance from sunset drive from section 323.4 of the regulations to increase size of deck to be handicap accessible. The proposed deck will improve the appearance of the building and will be no more non-conforming than the current deck.
IN A MOTION made by Mr. Johnson seconded by Mr. Harrington it was voted to grant the variance for Christopher Wright for Johanna Kimball, 61 Sharon Turnpike, 14 foot front yard variance from Rte 4 and 10 foot front yard variance from sunset drive from section 323.4 of the regulations to increase size of deck to be handicap accessible. Vote carried unanimously
6.CORRESPONDENCE: Hearing Notice for CT. Siting Council Docket No. 337 Cello Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless
7.ANY OTHER BUSINESS: None
8.ADJOURNMENT: IN A MOTION made by Mr. Johnson seconded by Mr. Harrington it was voted to adjourn the meeting at 7:55. Vote carried unanimously
