GOSHEN BOARD OF ASSESSORS
Regular Meeting- December 16, 2009
The December 16, 2009 Regular Meeting of the Goshen Board of Assessors was called to order at 4:08 p.m.
PRESENT:
Board Members – Jim Upton & Alan Booth
Assessor – Lucy Hussman
EXCUSED:

READING OF MINUTES:
The minutes of the September 16, 2009 meeting were reviewed and approved.
REQUEST TO BE HEARD:
None.
ASSESSORS REPORT:
Lisa Barber, Assessors Clerk, has returned from maternity leave and is currently working about 7 hours per week.
The 08 MV Supplemental list is finished and bills are ready to be mailed. Personal Property declarations are being reviewed and entered into the computer. The office is prepared to begin processing the 09MV list when it arrives. This fall approximately 200 properties with outstanding building permits were inspected by Lucy Hussman with assistance from Laurie Mosley. Data entry from those inspections is currently ongoing in preparation for finalizing the Grand List in January.
BUDGET UPDATE:
The Budget Report dated 12/16/09 was reviewed and is currently under budget.
There was a discussion about mapping expenses and converting our maps to a digital GIS format rather than dumping money into manual updates.
NEW BUSINESS:
The 2010 Meeting Schedule was presented and accepted.
OLD BUSINESS:
None.
