TITLE 12
REGIONAL PLANNING AGENCY ORDINANCE
Sec. 12-1. Participation. Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 127 of the General Statutes of Connecticut, Revision of 1958, the Town of Goshen hereby adopts the provisions of said Chapter and elects to participate in the regional planning agency now or henceforth existing under the authority of said Chapter in the Torrington-Winchester Planning Region as defined by the Connecticut Development Commission pursuant to the provisions of said Chapter.

Sec. 12-2. Representatives. The Town of Goshen, having a population of less than 25,000 shall have two (2) representatives on the aforementioned agency. The Board of Selectmen and the Planning and Zoning Commission of the Town shall each appoint one (1) elector to the agency. Appointees shall each serve for terms of two years, and shall serve for the term of their office and until their successors have been appointed. Appointees may be reappointed. Terms of office shall commence when the appointment is made or from the first organization meeting of the agency, whichever is later. (5-16-1967)
Sec. 12-3. Vacancies. Vacancies created by resignation or inability to serve shall be filled by the appointing authority for the remainder of the unexpired term. Any representative who is absent from three (3) consecutive regular meetings of the regional planning agency and any intervening duly called special meetings thereof shall be considered to have resigned from said body except that the requirements of this section may be the appointing authority for good cause. Sec. 12-4. Effective. This ordinance shall become effective fifteen days after publication in some newspaper having a circulation in the Town. (5-16-1967)

Sec. 12A-1. WITHDRAWAL. An ordinance was adopted providing for withdrawal of the Town from the Litchfield Hills Regional Planning Agency, to be effective six months from the effective day of the ordinance. (6-30-1980)
