TITLE 33
OLD AGE AND SURVIVORS INSURANCE SYSTEM
Sec. 33-1. Town of Goshen apply for membership and to participate in the Old Age and Survivors Insurance System under Title II of the Social Security Act as amended, in accordance with Public Act No. 277 of the 1951 Public Acts as of the 1st of October 1951, for all its employees with the exception of employees performing services of an emergency nature and the employees excluded by Section 3 of the said Public Act No. 277.
Sec. 33-2. The First Selectman shall execute on behalf and in the name of the Town of Goshen any and all agreements with the State Employees’ Retirement Commission for the aforesaid purpose, in accordance with and subject to the provisions of said Public Act No. 277 and subject to the regulations promulgated by the State Employees’ Retirement Commission pursuant to said Public Act.
Sec. 33-3. The First Selectman of the Town of Goshen be and is hereby authorized and directed to make deductions from the wages of the employees participating in the aforesaid Old Age and Survivors Insurance System as required by Section 4 of said Public Act No. 277 and to foreward the amount thereof together with the contribution of the Town of Goshen to the State Employees Retirement Commission in manner and form prescribed by the said regulations.
