TITLE 44
CEMETERY RIGHTS ORDINANCE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VOTERS OF THE TOWN OF GOSHEN, LEGALLY ASSEMBLED THAT:
1. The Board of Selectmen be and they are hereby authorized, in their sole discretion, to sell and convey rights of burial in any cemetery located in said Town not under the control of any ecclesiastical society or cemetery association. No right of burial shall be granted for any grave space which has been previously conveyed by the organization in charge of the cemetery.
2. All funds received on account of the sale of rights of burial pursuant to this ordinance shall be added to the Town cemetery fund, the income to be used for the maintenance of cemeteries in the Town.
3. This ordinance shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in a newspaper having circulation in the Town. (9-24-1985)
