AMENDMENT – ORDINANCE REGARDING TAX COLLECTION PROCEDURES
ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TAX COLLECTION PROCEDURES
ADOPTED ON NOVEMBER 18, 1996
BE IT ORDAINED by the legal voters of the Town of Goshen in meeting assembled:
RESOLVED: To amend the Ordinance Regarding Tax Collection Procedures adopted on November 18, 1996 by adding the following provisions:
1. Any property tax due to the Town of Goshen in an amount not in excess of one hundred dollars ($100.00) shall be due and payable in a single payment (C.G.S. §12-144).
2. No building permit shall be issued when property taxes are delinquent for the property for which an application was made (C.G.S. §7-148(c)(2)(B)).
This ordinance shall become effective fifteen days after its publication in a newspaper having circulation in the Town of Goshen.
