ABOUT GOSHEN RECREATION

The Recreation Department organizes programs all year round for children, adults, seniors, families and the community. We have a summer concert series held at Camp Coch, sports instructional programs, fitness programs, community events such as Valentine Brunch, St. Patrick's Celebration, Community Picnic, Fall Fest, and Holiday events. There are senior bus trips to museums, parks, gardens, and lunch offered monthly as well as our collaborative Tuesday Social with Goshen Community Care.  Fitness classes are offered throughout the year, yoga, curcuits, and dance classes.  Open gym for adults featuring basketball, volleyball and pickleball. This active department also runs an affordable six-week summer day camp for children ages 3-12 at the town-owned facility, Camp Cochipianee on Beach Street. Camp Cochipianee is a 57-acre facility, which has a running/walking track, swimming area, soccer field, baseball diamond, picnic areas, trails, horseshoe pit, and bocce court. Check out the Camp Cochipianee page for more information. 

We welcome volunteers to help with programs, events, and donations. If you have an interest you would like to share with a group or the community please let me know so we can talk about program options. Do you have an interest in helping with kid's sports programs or craft programs? Let me know, coaches to help teach our kids skills and basics are welcome! (we do require background checks)

On the MyRec website you will be asked to create a household account.  Please make sure to put your physical address as this will determine your residency which is important for certain activity registrations.  Some events/programs are for Goshen Residents only.  You can pay for events online using your credit/debit card.  There will be a 3% fee for the credit card convenience.  If you would like to pay by check or cash, use the option of $0 deposit.  Please make sure to use an active email address and check the notification boxes for both general and cancelations in your account so that you will be on the email list for the activities you register for. Changes to programs, updates, cancelations, and upcoming events are sent out in email blasts through MyRec. Call Erin for help or with questions 860-491-2249
