AT THE FRONT DOOR SERVICE ONLY NO ACCESS TO THE OFFICE

Please be advised that the Town Clerk's Office has been advised to have limited access. We are encouraging people if they can to please call or e-mail the office please send to both e-mail addresses: townclerk@goshenct.gov and assttownclerk@goshenct.gov. The phone number is 860-491-3647 ext 2. We are also requesting that you please do not have your clients call for copies of records that you may obtain on line. There is one person in the office and no outsiders are allowed in the Town Hall.

The Land Records are located on-line at the following link: https://countyfusion8.kofiletech.us/countyweb/login.do?countyname=TownFusion&town=GoshenCT. If you have a Land Recordings please consider mailing or using a courier service to have delivered. If you request it we will call you with the recording information during this time. If there is a record that is not on the computer you need we will e-mail or fax you the information. At this time we will be happy to send copies of the older Grantor/Grantee indexes free of charge and we will run a tab for copies of deeds that you may not obtain on-line.

You may also set up an appointment but this must be done in advance and we will come outside if you are not experiencing symptoms.

The Goshen Town Clerk's office has contracted with Vital Check which is a nation wide Vital Records service. Please be aware that there is a service fee to utilize this service to obtain a birth, death or marriage certified copy. You may click here to reach their site. 

 

The office of the Town Clerk is one of the oldest in government. Maintaining and preserving the records of the town is its primary function. With the passage of time, the office has been delegated many other tasks such as Registrar of Vital Statistics, election officer and agent for the State of Connecticut.

Census Information may be found at the United States Census Bureau website.

The Land Records are public documents and are open to all persons. We will NOT search for Land Records. Please do not call the office and ask for a search or recording information. Information will not be given out over the phone.
