Telephone/Letter Scam WARNING

There seems to be a new telephone and mail scam going around. The Tax Collector will not call you and tell you that you owe taxes UNLESS you call them and request information. So please do not give out any personal banking information to anyone on the telephone. If you are told you have back taxes that are owed, then you may check on the town website under "Search Taxes". Please make sure you go in through our website. If they give you a number to call please make sure it is a Town Hall number. Our Tax Collector is 860-491-3275.
