Town Clerk

On Monday, March 18, 2024 the Town Clerk’s office will be open on a limited basis. We will be in transition for a new computer system and unable to do Land Recordings. During that week we will be in training for the new system. Please be patient. Thank you.

ATTORNEYS: Please remember to include a mailing address for the grantee in all deeds of transfer. We will start
enforcing CGS 7-34(a) "....Town clerks shall receive, for recording any deed, except a mortgage deed, conveying title to real estate, which deed does not contain the current mailing address of the grantee, five dollars in addition to the
regular recording fee....."

The Land records are located with Kofile. (click on Kofile to take you to the site)

The Goshen Town Clerk's office has contracted with Vital Check which is a nation wide Vital Records service. Please be aware that there is a service fee to utilize this service to obtain a birth, death or marriage certified copy. You may click here to reach their site.

The office of the Town Clerk is one of the oldest in government. Maintaining and preserving the records of the town is its primary function. With the passage of time, the office has been delegated many other tasks such as Registrar of Vital Statistics, election officer and agent for the State of Connecticut.

Census Information may be found at the United States Census Bureau website.

The Land Records are public documents and are open to all persons. We will NOT search for Land Records. Please do not call the office and ask for a search or recording information. Information will not be given out over the phone.
